Follow all regulations when disposing of pyrotechnic components. Refer to AIRBAG, BELT TENSIONER AND BATTERY CUT-OUT UNITS, STORING, TRANSPORTING AND DISPOSING .

-- Remove the front seat:

Standard seat and Sport seat (manual). Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, MANUAL .
Standard seat, Sport seat (power) and Comfort seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, POWER .
For the super sport seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, POWER .

-- Attach the front seat to the Engine/Transmission Holder - Seat Repair Fixture:VAS6136 . Refer to FRONT SEAT, MOUNTING ON FIXTURE FOR SEAT REPAIR .

-- Remove the backrest cover. Refer to OVERVIEW - BACKREST COVER, TWO-PIECE BACKREST COVER WITH BACKREST FRAME TRIM .

-- Remove the front backrest:

Standard seat and Sport seat (manual). Refer to FRONT BACKREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, STANDARD SEAT/SPORT SEAT/SUPER SPORT SEAT .
Standard seat, Sport seat (power) and Comfort seat. Refer to FRONT BACKREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, POWER STANDARD SEAT .
For the super sport seat. Refer to FRONT BACKREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, STANDARD SEAT/SPORT SEAT/SUPER SPORT SEAT .

-- Remove the cushion from the backrest until the side airbag bolt -7- is accessible (refer to BACKREST COVER AND CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, STANDARD/SPORT SEAT ); to do this carefully pull off the seat cover -2- and the cushion -3- in the area around the side airbag.

-- Remove the bolt -7-.

Vehicles Equipped with a Manual Adjustable Seat:

-- Release the side airbag -6- and hook -5- from the backrest frame -4- and remove the airbag from the pocket sewn into the cover -1- downward while guiding the side air bag wiring harness.

Versions with Power Seats:

-- Release the side airbag -6- and the hook -5- from the backrest frame -4- and leave it in the pocket sewn into the cover -1-.

-- Remove the cover and padding form the seat backrest. Refer to BACKREST COVER AND CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, STANDARD/SPORT SEAT and remove the side airbag.
