Front Three-Point Seat Belt, Removing And Installing: Removing

WARNING:

Follow all regulations when disposing of pyrotechnic components. Refer to AIRBAG, BELT TENSIONER AND BATTERY CUT-OUT UNITS, STORING, TRANSPORTING AND DISPOSING .

-- Turn on the ignition.

-- Disconnect the battery ground cable with the ignition turned on. Refer to BATTERY .

-- Remove the front belt end fitting. Refer to FRONT BELT END FITTING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the side trim panel. Refer to SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

WARNING:

Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This can be done by touching the door striker, for example.

-- Release the connector locks using a small screwdriver -2- and disconnect the seat belt force limiter connectors -1- and remove the belt tensioner igniter 1 -4-.

-- Remove the B-pillar trim. Refer to B-PILLAR TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Thread the belt webbing out of the B-pillar trim.

-- Remove belt relay anchorage point -3-.

-- Remove the bolt -5- and the belt tensioner from the mount.
