Front Seat Belt Latch, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Replace the bolt for the seat belt latch.

-- Position the seat belt latch -2- so the opening -arrow B- aligns with the tab -arrow A- on the seat frame -1-.

Passenger Occupant Detection System for Deactivating the Front Passenger Airbag (Market-Specific):

-- If the seat belt latch of the passenger occupant detection system for front passenger airbag deactivation is replaced, fill out the system registration sheet with the serial number and bar code label from the new seat belt latch and send it to the importer.

NOTE:

Make sure the connectors are installed correctly and are secure.

WARNING:

Ignition must be on when connecting battery. If pyrotechnic components (for example, airbag, belt tensioner) are not repaired correctly, they may deploy unintentionally after connecting battery. There must not be anyone inside the vehicle when connecting the battery.

-- Connect the battery ground cable with the ignition turned on. Refer to BATTERY .

NOTE:

If the Airbag Indicator Lamp -K75- indicates a fault, check the DTC memory, erase it and check it again Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
