Front Brake Shield: Installing
Replace the bolts.
-- Attach the brake shield -8- with new bolts -9- and tighten to 9 Nm.
Handle the brake rotor with care. Replace a damaged brake rotor.
Do not hit the brake rotor with force when installing it onto the wheel hub.
-- Install the brake rotor, refer to CERAMIC BRAKE ROTOR .
Replace the bolts.
When positioning the brake rotor, do not tilt it on the wheel hub.
-- Install the new bolt -6- into the brake rotor and tighten it.
-- Install the brake caliper, refer to BRAKE CALIPER .
-- Install the wheels, refer to WHEEL BOLT TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .
-- Check brake fluid level, and fill if necessary.
After the first drive, depress brake pedal firmly several times with vehicle stationary so that the brake pads are properly seated in their normal operating position.
Make sure the brakes are working correctly before driving the vehicle for the first time.
