Camshaft, Measuring Axial Clearance: Notes

Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Dial Gauge Holder :VW387
- Dial Gauge - 0-10mm :VAS6079
-- Remove the camshafts. Refer to CAMSHAFTS, REMOVING, USED CAMSHAFTS, REINSTALLING ON CYLINDER BANK 1 (RIGHT) .
-- Mark the assignment of the roller rocker lever for installation later.
-- Remove the roller rocker lever and place it on a clean surface.
-- Re-install the camshafts with the external bracket. .
-- Secure the :VAS6079 on the cylinder head with the :VW387 as illustrated.
