Cylinder Head Cover Left And Right, Installing And Removing, Vehicles With A Turbocharger: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

NOTE:

Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn.

Replace the cylinder head seal if it is damaged.

Replace the destroyed crankcase ventilation hose if removed.

-- Clean any oil or grease off the sealing surfaces.

NOTE:

Note the expiration date of the sealing compound.

-- Cut the tube nozzle at the front marking (nozzle diameter: about 2 mm).

-- Apply a sealant bead -arrows- to both the cylinder head transition and the timing chain guard upper section.

Sealant bead thickness: approximately 2 mm

-- Tighten cylinder head cover bolts. .

-- Install the Intake Flap Motor -V157-. Refer to Intake Flap Motor -V157-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the fuel injectors. Refer to FUEL INJECTORS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Perform a leak test on the fuel system. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM LEAK TEST .
