Charge Air Cooler, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the bumper cover end plate and the lock carrier cover. Refer to FRONT BUMPER, ATTACHMENTS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING . .

NOTE:

Depending on the version a left air guide -2- can be installed, which encloses the refrigerant line -1-, as shown in the illustration below.

This air guide cannot be removed. It remains after unclipping the radiator from the installation position and must if necessary be pushed to the side.

-- Unclip the air guides -1 and 2-.

-- Remove the air guide hose from the charge air cooler by loosening the hose clamp -arrow-.

-- Remove the bolt -1-.

-- Remove the air guide hose from the charge air cooler by loosening the hose clamp -1-.

-- Push the lock downward in direction of -arrow A- and move the charge air cooler upward slightly in direction of -arrow B-.

-- Disengage the charge air cooler upward and remove it.
