Turbocharger, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install In Reverse Order Of Removal And Note The Following:

Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.
Replace seals, gaskets, O-rings and self-locking nuts after disassembly.
Coat the turbocharger stud bolts with hot bolt past.
Hose connections and charge air system hoses must be free of oil and grease before installing.
Secure all hose connections with hose clamps that match the ones used in series production.
Add oil to turbocharger through oil feed line connecting piece.
Used coolant cannot be used again.

-- Install the catalytic converter. Refer to CATALYTIC CONVERTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [CYNB ENGINES] and/or CATALYTIC CONVERTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [CYMC, CYRB, CYRC, CWPB, DAXB, DAXC, CJEB, CJED, CJEE, CNCD, CNCE, CUHA, CUJA, CNCB, CUHB, DAYB, CYGA, CYNB, CYPA, CYPB, CYYA, CVJA ENGINES] .

-- Check the oil level. Refer to the appropriate Service Information

-- Fill with coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING [CYMC, CYRB, CYRC, CWPB, DAXB, DAXC, CJEB, CJED, CJEE, CNCD, CNCE, CUHA, CUJA, CNCB, CUHB, DAYB, CYGA, CYNB, CYPA, CYPB, CYYA, CVJA ENGINES] and/or COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING [CYNB ENGINES] .

-- Install the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Additional procedures. Refer to TURBOCHARGER [CLAB, CLAA, CDUC, CGQB, CKVB, CKVC, CDUD, CPNB, CTCB, CTCC, CVUA, CVUB ENGINES] and/or TURBOCHARGER [CYNB ENGINES] .

After installing the turbocharger, let the engine idle for approximately one minute without increasing the engine speed. This ensures adequate oil supply to the turbocharger.
