Fan Shroud, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Drain the coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .
-- Remove the lock carrier cover. Refer to LOCK CARRIER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the bumper cover end plate. Refer to FRONT BUMPER COVER END PLATE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, AUDI RS6 .
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and air guide -1-.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the air guide -1-.
Ignore item -2-.
Depending On The Version A Left Air Guide -2- Can Be Installed, Which Encloses The Refrigerant Line -1-, As Shown In The Illustration.
This air guide cannot be removed. It remains after unclipping the radiator from the installation position and must if necessary be pushed to the side.
-- Unclip the air guides -1 and 2-.
There Is A Risk Of Injury If The Radiator Fan Turns On By Itself.
- Disconnect the connectors before working near the fan shroud.
-- Remove the coolant fan connector -1- from the bracket and disconnect it by sliding the retainer back in direction of -arrow- and pressing the release down.
-- Remove the left and right air guide hose from the charge air cooler, to do so loosen the hose clamp -arrow-.
-- Remove the left and right bolt -1- and remove the radiator console with the radiator from the lock carrier in direction of -arrow-.
-- Move the radiator slightly forward.
-- Press the left and right locking tabs for the fan shroud at the same time in direction of -arrow- and remove the fan shroud downward from the radiator.
