Receiver/Dryer, Removing And Installing With Dryer Cartridge (Only For AUDI A6 E-Tron): Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following. 

NOTE:

Follow the instructions for installing the O-rings. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .

The removed receiver/dryer contains refrigerant oil that must be returned to the refrigerant circuit (with the new receiver/dryer)..

Following attachment, check routing of refrigerant lines. They must be inserted in brackets provided and not make contact with other components.

-- Replace the O-rings -D and E-. Refer to the Parts information for the version.

NOTE:

Coat the O-ring seals lightly with refrigerant oil prior to installation. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .

Check the connections for the refrigerant lines to the receiver/dryer for contamination and damage.

Check the O-rings for proper seating in the groove of the respective connection.

-- Install the remaining removed components.

-- Evacuate and fill the refrigerant circuit. Refer to appropriate service information .

-- Switch the ignition on.

-- Check and, if necessary, erase any displayed faults in the DTC memory for the Climatronic Control Module -J255- control head and the Thermal Management Control Module -J1024- using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

-- Operate the A/C system after charging the refrigerant circuit. Refer to A/C SYSTEM, STARTING OPERATION AFTER FILLING REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT .

NOTE:

Note the information regarding operating the A/C system after filling. .

-- Evacuate and fill the refrigerant circuit. Refer to appropriate service information. .

-- Install the remaining removed components.

-- Switch the ignition on.

-- Check and, if necessary, erase any displayed faults in the DTC memory for the Climatronic Control Module -J255- control head and the Thermal Management Control Module -J1024- using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

-- Operate the A/C system after charging the refrigerant circuit. Refer to A/C SYSTEM, STARTING OPERATION AFTER FILLING REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT .
