Condenser, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Discharge the refrigerant circuit. Refer to appropriate service information. .

Audi RS 6/RS 7 

-- Remove the impact member. Refer to IMPACT MEMBER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the A/C Pressure/Temperature Sensor -G395-. Refer to A/C Pressure/Temperature Sensor -G395-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Audi A6 e-tron

-- For vehicles with a high-voltage system (Audi A6 e-tron), switch off (deactivate) the "parking air conditioner" function. Refer to the Owner's Manual and Infotainment/MMI Operating Manual.

-- Remove the impact member. Refer to IMPACT MEMBER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Audi A6/A7

-- Remove the lock carrier cover. .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-, if applicable.

-- Remove the air guide -1-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the air guide -1- on the intermediate flange -2- for the air filter housing.

-- Remove the refrigerant lines from the condenser. Refer to REFRIGERANT LINES, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING AT CONDENSER .

-- Release the tabs -A arrows- and remove the left and right air guide -1- -arrow B-.

Audi A6 e-tron

-- Remove the nut -A- (tightening specification: 9 Nm) and remove the refrigerant lines to the receiver/dryer -B and C- from the condenser -F-.

NOTE:

Seal the open line connections at the connection point and the condenser with clean plugs, for example from the :VAS6122  .

All Vehicles with High-Voltage System

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Disengage the front radiator -1- upward and pivot to the side with the air guide -2- and move it to the side with the coolant hoses still attached.

For All Vehicles

-- Disconnect the connector from the refrigerant pressure sensor (A/C Pressure/Temperature Sensor -G395- / High Pressure Sensor -G65-).

NOTE:

There are different designations, depending on the vehicle. The sensor is designated as High Pressure Sensor -G65- on the Audi A6 e-tron. It exchanges the data with the Thermal Management Control Module -J1024- on this vehicle. On all other vehicles (except for the Audi A6 e-tron), the sensor is designated as the A/C Pressure/Temperature Sensor -G395-. For these vehicles, it exchanges data with the Climatronic Control Module -J255- control head. Refer to the Appropriate Wiring Diagram.

-- Have a second technician open the tabs -1- in direction of -arrow A- and pull the condenser -2- upward out of the mounts on the radiator -arrows B-.
