4-Cylinder Gasoline Engine 1.8L TFSI / 2.0L TFSI / 2.0L TFSI Hybrid

- Spark Plug Removal Tool :3122B
- Puller - Ignition Coil :T40039
- Electronic Torque Wrench 3-60Nm :VAS6583 , measuring range 3 to 60 Nm
Tightening Specification Table for Installation:

Removal Procedures:
-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Step 1 - Spark Plugs, Removing:
-- Release the connector -arrows- and remove from the cam adjustment actuator.
-- Remove the connector strip bolts.
-- Release the connector -arrow- and disconnect all the connectors at the same time from the ignition coils.
-- Move the connector strip slightly to the side. Make sure to not kink or damage the lines.
-- Place the :T40039 on the topmost thick rib and pull all the ignition coils one after the other off of the spark plugs in the direction of the -arrow-.
-- Using the :VAS3122B , remove the spark plugs from the cylinder head.
Step 2 - Spark Plugs, Installing
-- Install the new spark plugs using the :VAS3122B and tighten to specification (Table. Refer to 4-CYLINDER GASOLINE ENGINE 1.8L TFSI / 2.0L TFSI / 2.0L TFSI HYBRID ).
-- Lubricate the ignition coils. Refer to IGNITION COILS, LUBRICATING .
-- Insert all ignition coils loosely into the spark plug shaft and align them to the connectors on the connector strip.
-- Press the ignition coils evenly onto the spark plugs by hand. Do not use any impact tools.
-- Align the connector strip and connect all connectors at the same time on the ignition coils until the locking mechanism engages.
-- Insert the connectors onto the cam adjustment actuators until the locking mechanism engages.
-- Mount the connector strip by installing the bolts to the tightening specification. Refer to 4-CYLINDER GASOLINE ENGINE 1.8L TFSI / 2.0L TFSI / 2.0L TFSI HYBRID for the installation tightening specification table.
Additional installation procedures occur in reverse order.
