Component Location Overview - Components Inside Rear Passenger Compartment, Left Side Of Passenger Compartment

  1. Rear A/C Display Control Head -E265-
  2. Rear Vent with Position Sensor in Left Rear Upper Body Vent - G630- / Position Sensor in Right Rear Upper Body Vent -G631-
    • Inside the center console
    • In the "Convenience" version
    • To check, use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding"  function an. Refer to the Appropriate Wiring Diagram.
    • Removing and installing. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE .
      NOTE:

      After replacement of the rear vent, perform an adaptation for the Climatronic Control Module -J255- control head and the Rear A/C Display Control Head -E265- to the end stops on the potentiometer. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

  3. Rear Temperature Selection Potentiometer -G538-
    • Versions for specific countries
    • Only in the "Basic" version
    • Is a shared component with the trim and cannot be replaced separately
    • To check, use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding"  function an. Refer to the Appropriate Wiring Diagram.
    • Removing and installing. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE .
  4. Left Rear Heated Seat Regulating Switch -E128-
    • Only in the "Basic" A/C system
    • The switch is not On Board Diagnostics (OBD) capable. However, seat heating activation only occurs when the Vehicle Electrical System Control Module -J519- provides the corresponding release. Refer to the Appropriate Wiring Diagram and Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding"  function vehicle electrical system control module.
    • For information about seat heating function. Refer to SEAT HEATING .
    • Seat heating, servicing. Refer to OVERVIEW - SEAT HEATING ELEMENT .
  5. Right Rear Heated Seat Regulating Switch -E129-
    • Only in the "Basic" A/C system
    • The switch is not OBD capable. However, seat heating activation only occurs when the Vehicle Electrical System Control Module -J519- provides the corresponding release. Refer to the Appropriate Wiring Diagram and Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function vehicle electrical system control module.
    • For information about seat heating function. Refer to SEAT HEATING .
    • Seat heating, servicing. Refer to OVERVIEW - SEAT HEATING ELEMENT .

  8. Left Rear Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor -G637-
  9. Right Rear Upper Body Vent Temperature Sensor -G636-
  10. Left Rear Upper Body Vent Temperature Sensor -G635-
