Front Side Airbag With Igniter, Removing And Installing, Multi-Contour Seat: Removing

-- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Fasten the front seat on the :VAS6136 . Refer to FRONT SEAT, MOUNTING ON FIXTURE FOR SEAT REPAIR .

-- Remove the backrest cover. Refer to BACKREST COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, MULTI-CONTOUR SEAT .

-- Remove the backrest. Refer to FRONT BACKREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Fold back the padding on the backrest near the side airbag until the side airbag is accessible. Refer to BACKREST COVER AND CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Pull the backrest cover near the side airbag carefully as far as possible forward.

-- Remove the bolt -5-.

-- Disengage the side airbag -2- from the backrest frame -arrow- using the hook -4-.

-- Remove the side airbag from the cushion protection -3- while guiding the side airbag wiring harness -1- out after it.

-- Backrest cover with sewn pocket: Remove the side airbag from the bottom of the pocket sewn into the backrest cover.
