Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Version 1
-- Remove the connectors -1 and 3- from the mount, disconnect, and free up the wires.
-- Disconnect the connector -2- and unclip the Differential Pressure Sensor -G505- from the bracket and free it up.
Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Version 2
-- Disconnect the connectors -1 and 4- and remove them from the bracket.
Ignore items -2 and 3-.
-- Remove the bolt -3-.
Ignore items -1 and 2-.
-- Remove nut -arrow-, and remove particulate filter with the front exhaust pipe.
-- Remove the left and right drive axle from the transmission flange shaft. Refer to DRIVE AXLE .
-- Loosen the clamp -arrow- and remove the coolant hose.
There is a risk of destroying the transmission control module (Mechatronic) with electrostatic discharge.
- Always "discharge" the static electricity. Do this by touching a grounded object, for example vehicle ground, the vehicle or the hoist.
- Do not touch contacts in transmission connector with hands.
-- Turn the twist lock counter-clockwise in direction of -arrow- and disconnect the connector from the transmission.
Place a clean cloth under the separating point to catch the escaping coolant.
-- Loosen the clamp -1- and remove the coolant hose.
-- Remove bolts -arrow- and pivot ATF cooler to the side.
Ignore item -2-.
Catch any leaking ATF with a cloth.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the ATF pipe -1- from the transmission.
-- Seal the open lines and connections with clean plugs from the :VAS6122 .
-- Remove the lower cover -1- from the transmission in direction of -arrow-.
-- Join the tools as illustrated:
- Socket 21 mm for 1 /2 "-drive
-- Counterhold the crankshaft to loosen the dual mass flywheel bolts.
-- Remove the 6 bolts -arrow- from the dual mass flywheel. Turn the crankshaft an additional 60° in the direction of engine rotation.
-- Disconnect the connector -2-.
-- Remove bolt -arrows-, and move Transmission Fluid Cooling Valve -N509- to the side.
Ignore item -1-.
-- Equip the :VAS6131B with the :VAS6131/10 , :VAS6131/13-7 , and :VAS6131/14 as follows:
The other attachments remain unchanged.

-- Secure the :VAS6131/13-7 to the engine on the front to the right with the M10 nut -arrow-, as shown in the illustration.
-- Install the joint support on the : VAS6131B and tighten it to 20 Nm.
Danger of leaks in the ATF oil pan.
- The :VAS6131/14 must not be set on the ATF oil pan.
-- Attach the mounting elements from the :VAS6131/10 and :VAS6131/14 on the front of the transmission, as shown in illustration.
-- Turn the left and right spindles upward until the :VAS6131/14 rests firmly against the transmission.
-- Attach mounting element base plates to :VAS6131B and tighten to 20 Nm.
-- Remove the starter bolts -1 and 2-.
-- Press the starter off the transmission and leave it in the installation position.
-- Remove the remaining bolts -3 through 11- that attach the engine to the transmission.
Ignore item -A-.
-- Loosen the side bolts -1- on the :VAS6131B land the pull the rear table plate and transmission slightly toward the rear.
