-- Remove the nuts -arrows- from the cylinder bank 2 (left) and then remove the right catalytic converter from the vehicle.
-- Loosen the clamp -1- and remove the coolant hose.
-- Disconnect the connector -2-.
There is a risk of destroying the transmission control module (Mechatronic) with electrostatic discharge.
- Always "discharge" the static electricity. Do this by touching a grounded object, for example vehicle ground, the vehicle or the hoist.
- Do not touch contacts in transmission connector with hands.
-- Turn the twist lock counter-clockwise in direction of -arrow- and disconnect the connector from the transmission.
Use a cloth to catch any leaking coolant.
-- Remove coolant hoses by loosening the hose clamps -1 and 2-.
-- Remove bolts -arrows- and remove the ATF cooler.
Catch any leaking ATF with a cloth.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the ATF pipe -1- from the transmission.
-- Seal the open lines and connections with clean plugs from the :VAS6122 .
-- Fold the heat shield boot slightly upward.
-- Loosen the hose clamps -arrows- to remove the bolts -1 and 2- and to remove the coolant hoses for the right coolant pipe from the transmission.
-- Remove the coolant hose at right on transmission with the spacer sleeve.
-- Remove the left and right drive axles froDRIVE AXLE .
-- Remove the lower cover -1- from the transmission in direction of -arrow-.
-- Position the :T40272 onto the :T40263 .
-- Attach the adapter to the bolts on the vibration damper.
- The semi-round countersink -arrow A- on the must face the semi-round countersink -arrow B- on the vibration damper.
Ignore the notch on the :T40272 .
-- Counterhold the crankshaft to loosen the torque converter bolts using the :T40272 and the :T40263 .
When mounting, turn the crankshaft only in the direction of engine rotation -arrow-.
-- Remove the six torque converter bolts -arrow- while turning the crankshaft 60° further in the direction of engine rotation.
-- Equip the :VAS6131B with the :VAS6131/10 and :VAS6131/12 , and : VAS6131/13-7 as follows:
The other attachments remain unchanged.
