Converting To Different Wheel/Tire Combinations From Tire Package
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2018 Audi S6, 2018 Audi A6 Quattro, 2018 Audi A6, 2017 Audi S6, and 2017 Audi A6 Quattro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
In addition to the registered tire package in the Certificate of Conformity, a conversion to different wheel/tire combinations is technically possible.
Refer to CERTIFICATE OF CONFORMITY
These technical possibilities are found in the Wheel and Tire Guide.
The following conditions must be fulfilled to convert to a different tire/wheel combination:
- The operating license of the vehicle will expire in the German Federal Republic if a wheel/tire combination is applied that is not in the registration document or in the Certificate of Conformity. To extend the operating license, the vehicle must be inspected according to 19.2 / 21 StVZO by an officially recognized expert or inspector of motor traffic. Then the issue of a new operating license is requested at the appropriate licensing authority (registration service).
- A valid general operating approval or report from the German Federal Motor Vehicle Registration Agency for the different tire/wheel combination "may" replace the vehicle inspection.
- Follow the rules and regulations of the corresponding country.
- The corresponding country-specific registration regulations are to be followed.
