Right Exhaust Manifold, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Drain the coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Also remove the rear noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the Heated Oxygen Sensor -G39-. Refer to HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR -G39- /OXYGEN SENSOR AFTER THREE WAY CATALYTIC CONVERTER -G130-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the right heat shield -1-.

-- Remove the Right Front Wheel. Refer to WHEEL, CHANGING AND MOUNTING .

-- Remove the drive axle cover -1- in the right wheel housing.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the right drive axle heat shield.

-- Remove the right drive axle from the transmission flange shaft. Refer to DRIVE AXLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Loosen left clamping sleeve -2-, slide back and tie up the right front muffler.

Vehicles Without Auxiliary Heater

-- Remove the bolts -1 and 2-.

-- Loosen the clamps -arrows- and remove the coolant hoses from the coolant pipe on the right longitudinal member and then remove the coolant pipe.

Vehicles With Parking Heater (CANADA ONLY)

-- Remove the nut -1- and bolt -2-.

-- Loosen the clamps -arrows- and remove the coolant hoses from the coolant pipe on the right longitudinal member and then remove the coolant pipe.

-- Remove the bolt -1- and nuts -arrows- and then remove the catalytic converter from the exhaust manifold.

-- Remove the bolts -1 through 4- and remove the heat shield.
