Muffler, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the crossbrace. Refer to TUNNEL BRACE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING and/or SUBFRAME CROSSBRACE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- If equipped remove the diagonal brace. Refer to DIAGONAL BRACES, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
CAUTION:
The Decoupling Elements In The Front Muffler Could Be Damaged.
- Do not bend decoupling elements in front muffler more than 10°.
-- Loosen the clamping sleeves -1 and 2- and slide them toward the rear.
-- Tie up the front muffler to the underbody.
-- Disconnect the left and right connector -3-.
WARNING:
Risk Of Accident Due To The Weight Of The Muffler.
- To remove the muffler a second technician is required.
-- Remove the bolts -1 and 2- and then remove the muffler.
