Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve -N276-, CHECKING: Procedure
Danger of malfunction caused by dirt.
- Observe, refer to FUEL SYSTEM SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
-- Remove the engine cover, refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Open the clamp -arrow- and remove the fuel supply hose -1- from the banjo bolt.
-- Close the open connection on the banjo bolt with a blind plug -arrow-.
-- Hold the fuel return line -1- in its own container (lengthen the fuel return line if necessary).
The amount of fuel in the fuel injector from the fuel return line -1- is not important for this test.
Fuel temperature greaten then 10 °C (50 °F).
-- Remove the fuel return hose -2-.
Ignore items -1 and 3-.
-- Seal off the open return connection with an adapter hose -2- and a Hose Clamp - Up To 25mm :3094 .
-- Hold the fuel return hose -1- in a measuring container.
-- Start the engine and let it run in idle.
Specified Values
- Return quantity when starting: 0 ml
- Return quantity in 2 minutes: 0 to 50 ml.
If the specified values are not reached, the Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve -N276- is faulty.
-- Secure the fuel supply hose with a new clamp on the banjo bolt.
