- AD1 CHECK FOR BCM DTC B126A:01
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the BCM self-test.
Is DTC B126A:01 present?
Yes GO to Pinpoint Test AF . No GO to AD2. - AD2 VERIFY THE OPERATION OF BOTH DOOR LOCK CONTROL SWITCHES
- Press the lock and unlock buttons on each door lock control switch while observing the door lock operation.
Are the door locks inoperative from both switches
Yes GO to AD3. No GO to Pinpoint Test AG . - AD3 VERIFY ALL DOOR LOCKS ARE INOPERATIVE
- Press the lock and unlock buttons from a door lock control switch while observing the door locks.
Are all the door locks inoperative from both switch positions (lock and unlock)?
Yes GO to AD4. No GO to Pinpoint Test AF . - AD4 CHECK THE RFA MODULE POWER DOOR LOCK RELAY CIRCUIT FOR VOLTAGE
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: RFA Module C4392D .
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C4392D-5 Ground
Is the voltage greater than 11 volts?
Yes GO to AD6. No VERIFY the BCM fuse 27 (20A) is OK. If OK, GO to AD5.If not OK, GO to AD8. - AD5 CHECK THE RFA MODULE DOOR LOCK RELAY VOLTAGE SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Disconnect: BCM C2280A .
Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?
Yes GO to AD10. No REPAIR the circuit. - AD6 CHECK THE RFA MODULE POWER DOOR LOCK RELAY GROUND CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Disconnect: RFA Module C4392A .
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C4392A-1 Ground
Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?
Yes GO to AD7. No REPAIR the circuit. - AD7 CHECK THE ALL DOOR LOCK CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Disconnect: Left Rear Door Lock Actuator C704 .
Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?
Yes GO to AD9. No REPAIR the circuit. - AD8 CHECK THE ALL LOCK CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUNDNOTE: If the BCM fuse 27 (20A) fails immediately upon installation, refer to the OEM Electrical Wiring Diagram Introduction to identify the possible causes of the circuit short.
- Install a new BCM fuse 27 (20A).
- Operate the door lock actuators by pressing the lock button on the door lock control switch several times.
Is the BCM fuse 27 (20A) OK?
Yes REPAIR the unlock circuit for a short to ground. No REPAIR the all lock circuit for a short to ground. - AD9 CHECK FOR CORRECT RFA MODULE OPERATION
- Disconnect and inspect all the RFA module connectors.
- Repair:
- corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
- Reconnect the RFA module connectors. Make sure they seat and latch correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes CHECK On-Line Automotive Service Information System(OASIS) for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new RFA module. REFER to Multifunction Electronic Modules . No The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues. - AD10 CHECK FOR CORRECT BCM OPERATION
