Oil cooler at engine, removing and installing

Removing

Remove the generator →
- 27 BATTERY, STARTER, GENERATOR, CRUISE CONTROL
- 27 BATTERY, STARTER, GENERATOR, CRUISE CONTROL for ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT, CABRIOLET

Remove bolts - 1, 2 and 3 - and remove torque support bracket.

Remove bolts - arrows -.
Remove bracket for generator.

Remove coolant hoses - 1 - and - 2 - at oil cooler.
Place old oil collecting and extracting device V.A.G 1782 under engine.
Remove bolts - arrows - and remove oil cooler.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

NOTE:

Replace O-rings.
Secure all hose connections using hose clamps appropriate for the model type .

Install generator →
- 27 BATTERY, STARTER, GENERATOR, CRUISE CONTROL
- 27 BATTERY, STARTER, GENERATOR, CRUISE CONTROL for ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT, CABRIOLET

Torque support bracket to	Long member	M8	30
	M10	50 + 90 ° ¹⁾²⁾
	Torque support bearing		40
¹⁾ Replace bolt. ²⁾ 90 ° corresponds to a quarter turn.
