Engine Contaminants

To prevent foreign objects from entering when working on the engine, seal open intake and exhaust channels with suitable plugs, for example from the Engine Bung Set VAS6122.

NOTE:

If there is mechanical damage to the turbocharger, refer to TURBOCHARGER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING . If mechanical damage (such as a destroyed compression wheel) is found on the turbocharger, just replacing the turbocharger is not enough (perform steps in removal procedure).
