Oil Pan Upper Section, Removing And Installing: Removing

• The engine is secured to the engine and transmission holder, refer to ENGINE, SECURING ON ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION HOLDER .

-- Remove the lower timing chain cover, refer to LOWER TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the oil pump, refer to OIL PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the oil baffle downward.

-- Remove the bolts -1 to 6- for the upper section of the oil pan.

-- Press the upper section of the oil pan off the cylinder block alignment pins.
