Mixture Adjustment, Measured Values With Vas Pc, Reading Out

NOTE:
The measured values needed will be erased when the DTC memory is cleared.
- The DTC memory is not erased.
Procedure:
-- Connect the Vehicle diagnostic tester. Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester, CONNECTING .
-- Perform the following steps on the vehicle diagnostic tester:
- Guided functions
- Vehicle brand and type
- Functions
- Select the engine electronics or the name of the injection and ignition system.
- Read the measured values
- "IDE 00597 Long Term Adaptation of Bank 1 Mixture Formation" (Long Term Fuel Trim Bank 1)
And for V6 engines:
- "Heated Oxygen Sensor Learned Values, Bank 1 Sensor 1 Partial Load" and
- "Heated Oxygen Sensor Learned Values, Bank 2 Sensor 1 Partial Load"
-- Press Complete .
-- Press Read .
-- Check measured value(s):
NOTE:
If the displayed value deviates by > 15%, then the Fuel Injector Cleaner G17 must be increased by a factor of 4. Refer to FUEL INJECTOR CLEANER G17, ADDING .
CAUTION:
If the measured values continue to deviate even though the amount of additive was increased, then a repair may be needed.
