Secure Seating Of The Battery And Battery Terminals, Not For Hybrid Vehicles, Checking

WARNING:

If the battery clamp is not seated securely on the positive terminal, disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap on battery negative terminal first, to prevent possible accidents.

NOTE:

The battery is located under the luggage compartment floor panel.

-- Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.

-- Disconnect the connector for the Bass box -arrow 1-.

-- Remove the nut for the cover -arrow 2-.

NOTE:

Pay attention to the installed position of the bass box. (Stamped triangle + arrow)

-- Open the cover -1- above the battery.

-- Open the cover -2- above the battery positive pole.

-- Check that the battery terminals are secure and if necessary, tighten the nuts -1- and -2-.

-- Check the battery for secure fit, tighten the nut -3- on the mounting bracket if necessary.
