Secure Seating Of The Battery And Battery Terminals, For Hybrid Vehicles Only, Checking

Warning information for the high voltage system:

Procedures for which the ignition needs to be switched off. Refer to PROCEDURES FOR WHICH THE IGNITION NEEDS TO BE SWITCHED OFF .

WARNING:

If the battery clamp is not seated securely on the positive terminal, disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap on battery negative terminal first, to prevent possible accidents.

NOTE:

The AGM battery under the luggage compartment floor panel does not need to be checked.

The AGM battery that needs to be checked is located behind the left side trim panel in the luggage compartment.

-- Remove the cover for the left luggage compartment side trim panel.

-- Check that the battery negative pole and ground cable -3- are seated tightly. Tighten the nut -5- and ground cable -4- if necessary.

-- Tighten the bolt -3- on the battery positive terminal cable -4-.

-- Check that the battery is seated securely and tighten the nut -2- and bolts -3- on the mounting bracket -1- if necessary.
