AGM Batteries, For Hybrid Vehicles Only

Warning information for the high voltage system:

Procedures for which the ignition needs to be switched off. Refer to PROCEDURES FOR WHICH THE IGNITION NEEDS TO BE SWITCHED OFF .

CAUTION:

The crash safety is reduced if an incorrect battery is installed.

Always replace an AGM battery with another AGM battery if that is what the vehicle originally had installed.

NOTE:

AGM batteries are marked with "AGM".

AGM batteries are sealed, require no further maintenance and cannot be opened.

The AGM battery under the luggage compartment floor panel does not need to be checked.

The batteries that need to be checked are located behind the left side trim panel in the luggage compartment.

-- Remove the cover for the left luggage compartment side trim panel.

-- Check that the battery and terminal clamp are tightly in position and tighten if necessary. Refer to BATTERY: SECURE SEATING OF BATTERY AND BATTERY TERMINALS, CHECKING .

-- Perform a visual inspection of the battery:
