Towing Eyes, Mounting

WARNING:

If the towing eye is not installed as far as the stop, the threads may shear off when towing.

NOTE:

The tire bolt wrench and towing eye are with the vehicle tools.

Covers may vary depending on the equipment level.

Mounting Front Towing Eye

NOTE:

The towing eye thread is located under a cover in the front bumper on the right side.

-- Carefully remove the cover in -direction of arrow-.

-- Tighten the towing eye all the way -direction of arrow- into the threaded hole.

-- After using, remove the towing eye and place it back with the vehicle tools.

Mounting Rear Towing Eye

NOTE:

Vehicles with factory-installed trailer hitches are not equipped with a thread for the towing eye. In this case, attach the rope / bar to the mounted trailer hitch.

-- Push the cap -arrow- with a single strong push toward the inside in order to loosen it from the bumper.

-- Tighten the towing eye all the way -direction of arrow- into the threaded hole.
