-- Remove the tower brace, refer to TOWER BRACE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the Oxygen Sensor 2 after Catalytic Converter -G131- -2-, refer to Oxygen Sensor 2 after Catalytic Converter -G131-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, BANK 2, LEFT .

-- Remove the plenum chamber bulkhead, refer to OVERVIEW - BULKHEAD .

-- Remove the left front muffler, refer to FRONT MUFFLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the left front wheel.

-- Remove the driveshaft cover -1- in the left wheel housing.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the left driveshaft heat shield.

-- Remove the universal joint bolt -arrow-, refer to STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Press the CV joint off the steering gear and slide it all the way up.

-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and bolt -1- and remove the left catalytic converter from the exhaust manifold.
