Lower Timing Chain Cover, Removing And Installing: Removing

Vehicles with a turbocharger: Remove the transmission, refer to TRANSMISSION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Vehicles with two turbochargers: Separate the engine and transmission, refer to ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION, SEPARATING .

-- Remove the drive plate, refer to DRIVE PLATE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the turbocharge, refer to TURBOCHARGER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the left exhaust manifold, refer to LEFT EXHAUST MANIFOLD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the right exhaust manifold, refer to RIGHT EXHAUST MANIFOLD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the upper timing chain covers, refer to TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and then tilt the turbocharger bracket -1- to the side.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and then tilt the turbocharger bracket -1- to the side.

-- Remove bolt -2-, remove the oil return pipe.

Ignore item -1-.

-- Loosen and remove the bolts in the following sequence: -24 to 1-.

-- Carefully loosen and remove the lower timing chain cover from the bond.

-- Press the transmission side of the crankshaft shaft seal out of the lower timing chain cover.
