Right Cylinder Head Cover, Removing And Installing, Vehicles Engine Code CPNB: Removing

-- Remove the engine cover, refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the fuel rail on the right side, refer to HIGH PRESSURE RESERVOIR (RAIL), REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the fuel injectors on the right side, refer to FUEL INJECTORS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the connector -3- from the Camshaft Position Sensor -G40- -2- and free up the wiring harness from the cylinder head cover with the Pry Lever 80-200.

NOTE:

Ignore item -1-.

-- Remove the connector -3- and Differential Pressure Sensor -G505- item -2- from the bracket.

NOTE:

Ignore item -1-.

CAUTION:

There is a risk of contamination.

-- Loosen hose clamps to remove and free up fuel hose.

  1. Blue fuel hose
  2. White fuel hose
  3. Yellow fuel hose

CAUTION:

Depending on the vehicle equipment level and market-specific crankcase ventilation hose may be used, which cannot be removed from the cylinder head cover without being destroyed. For these version the crankcase ventilation hose can only be separated at the air guide hose connection.

-- Press the release buttons and remove the crankcase ventilation hose -1-.

NOTE:

If the crankcase ventilation hose cannot be removed from the cylinder head cover without being destroyed, then it is only removed from the turbocharger connection.

-- Free up the vacuum hose.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and then remove the support from the turbocharger.

CAUTION:

Depending on the vehicle equipment level and market-specific crankcase ventilation hose may be used, which cannot be removed from the cylinder head cover without being destroyed. In these versions the hose on the cylinder head cover is destroyed and replaced.

-- Remove the hose -arrow- for the crankcase ventilation, to do so -if equipped- press the release button or the damage the hose connection on the cylinder head cover.

-- Loosen the bolts in sequence -7 to 1-.

-- Remove the bolts and the cylinder head cover.
