Left Cylinder Head Cover, Removing And Installing, Vehicles Engine Code CPNB: Removing
-- Remove the engine cover, refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the left fuel rail, refer to HIGH PRESSURE RESERVOIR (RAIL), REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the left fuel injector, refer to FUEL INJECTORS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the tower brace, refer to TOWER BRACE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Separate the refrigerant lines from the quick acting couplings and remove the quick acting couplings from the refrigerant line with the heater core, refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT .
-- Remove the Intake Flap Motor -V157-, refer to Intake Flap Motor -V157-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the bolts -1- and then remove the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) pipe.

-- Remove the bolts -1- and then remove the intake manifold mount.

-- If equipped, remove the bolt -1- for the heat shield.
Ignore item -2-.
-- Free up the wiring harness on the cylinder head cover using the Pry Lever 80-200.
Depending on the vehicle equipment level and market-specific crankcase ventilation hose may be used, which cannot be removed from the cylinder head cover without being destroyed. In these versions the hose on the cylinder head cover is destroyed and replaced.
-- Remove the hose -arrow- for the crankcase ventilation, to do so -if equipped- press the release button or the damage the hose connection on the cylinder head cover.
-- Loosen the bolts in sequence -7 to 1-.
-- Remove the bolts and the cylinder head cover.
