Left Cylinder Head Cover, Removing And Installing, Vehicles Engine Code CPNB: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Tightening specification, refer to Figure.

NOTE:

Replace any bolts that were tightened with an additional turn.

Replace the cylinder head seal if it is damaged.

-- Clean any oil or grease off the sealing surfaces.

NOTE:

Note the expiration date of the sealing compound.

-- Cut the tube nozzle at the front marking (nozzle diameter: about 2 mm).

-- Apply a sealant bead -arrows- to both the cylinder head transition and the timing chain guard lower section.

Sealant bead thickness: approximately 2 mm

-- Tighten cylinder head cover bolts, refer to Figure.

-- Install the Intake Flap Motor -V157-, refer to Intake Flap Motor -V157-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the fuel injectors, refer to FUEL INJECTORS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the fuel rail, refer to HIGH PRESSURE RESERVOIR (RAIL), REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the tower brace, refer to TOWER BRACE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the engine cover, refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Perform a leak test on the fuel system, refer to FUEL SYSTEM LEAK TEST .
