Auxiliary Fuel Pump -V393-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

-- Follow all safety precautions, refer to FUEL SYSTEM SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
-- Follow the rules for clean working conditions, refer to CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .
-- Remove the right underbody panel, refer to OVERVIEW - UNDERBODY PANELS .
-- Remove the nuts -1- and -2-.
-- Tilt the bracket -3- downward, disengage it from the body -arrows- and remove it.
WARNING:
Very hot fuel can burn your skin.
- In extreme cases the temperature of the fuel lines and/or the fuel can go up to 100 °C (212 °F). Let the fuel cool down before opening any line connections otherwise there is a danger of scalding.
- Wear safety gloves.
- Wear protective eyewear.
There is a risk of injury because the fuel is under high pressure.
- To reduce pressure in fuel system, lay a clean cloth around the connector and carefully loosen connector.
-- Place the drip tray under the Auxiliary Fuel Pump -V393-.
-- Disconnect the connector -4-.
-- Detach the fuel return line -1- at the rubber bushing -2-.
-- Remove the fuel hoses -3- and -6-.
-- Remove the Auxiliary Fuel Pump -V393- item -5- with the rubber bushing.
