Wheel Bearing Unit, Removing And Installing, Fwd Vehicles: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Tightening specifications, refer to OVERVIEW - WHEEL BEARING HOUSING, WHEEL BEARING UNIT AND COIL SPRING SHOCK ABSORBER, VEHICLES WITH FRONT WHEEL DRIVE .

-- Clean the front seal.

-- Install the front seal and grease the stub axle -arrow- lightly with Grease.

-- Install the brake caliper and brake rotor, refer to BRAKE ROTOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING and BRAKE CALIPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Drive in the cap with the Camshaft Installer Kit - Sleeve3241/4.

NOTE:

Always replace a damaged cap.

Damaged caps allow moisture to get in. Therefore, always use the tool shown.

-- Install the brake caliper and brake rotor, refer to BRAKE ROTOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING and BRAKE CALIPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Tighten the wheel bearing unit bolt.

-- Install the rear wheel, wheel bolt tightening specification: 140 Nm. Refer to AUDI SQ5 TYPE 8R, MY 2012 - 2015 .

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Tightening specifications, refer to OVERVIEW - WHEEL BEARING HOUSING, WHEEL BEARING UNIT AND COIL SPRING SHOCK ABSORBER, VEHICLES WITH FRONT WHEEL DRIVE .

NOTE:

Bonded rubber bushings have a limited range of motion. Only tighten suspension screws when vehicle is in curb weight or control position.

Wheel bearing, lifting to curb weight position on vehicles with coil springs, refer to WHEEL BEARING IN CURB WEIGHT, LIFTING VEHICLES WITH COIL SPRING .

-- Tighten the wheel, wheel bolt tightening specification: 140 Nm. Refer to AUDI SQ5 TYPE 8R, MY 2012 - 2015 .
