Overview - SUBFRAME, Stabilizer Bar And Coupling Rod: Notes

- Must be tightened in the curb weight position, refer to WHEEL BEARING IN CURB WEIGHT, LIFTING VEHICLES WITH COIL SPRING .
- Bracket
- Left Rear Level Control System Sensor -G76-
- Only sensors of the same version may be installed.
- Complete with components
- The sensor lever points toward the outside
- Replace in vehicle, refer to LEVEL CONTROL SYSTEM SENSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- Check the basic setting of the headlamp adjustment after loosening, refer to HID HEADLAMP, ADJUSTING, ADJUSTING, USA VEHICLES or HID HEADLAMPS, ADJUSTING, REST-OF-WORLD VEHICLES .
- If the level control system sensor was removed and installed on a vehicle with electronically controlled damping or if the linkage was loosened, the control position must be reprogrammed using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester, refer to CONTROL POSITION, REPROGRAMMING USING Vehicle Diagnostic Tester .
- If the control position was reprogrammed on vehicles with lane assist, the Directional Stabilization Assistance Control Module -J759- must be calibrated again, refer to CALIBRATION PROCEDURE .

- 40 Nm +90°
- Always replace if removed
- Must be tightened in the curb weight position, refer to WHEEL BEARING IN CURB WEIGHT, LIFTING VEHICLES WITH COIL SPRING .

- Stabilizer Bar
- Stabilizer must be removed together with coupling rod.
- Removing and installing, refer to STABILIZER BAR COUPLING ROD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- The rubber bushing and clamp must not be separated from the stabilizer bar.
- Rubber Bushing
- Replaced together with the stabilizer bar, refer to -item 7- Stabilizer Bar, and the clamp, refer to -item 9- Clamp (See Fig 1).
- The rubber bushing and clamp must not be separated from the stabilizer bar.
- Clamp
- The rubber bushing and clamp must not be separated from the stabilizer bar.

- 25 Nm +90°
- Always replace if removed
- Tighten evenly

- Coupling Rod
- The coupling rod must be removed together with the stabilizer bar.
- Removing and installing, refer to STABILIZER BAR COUPLING ROD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

- Upper Transverse Link

- Tightening specification: 95 Nm
- Installed on vehicles with all wheel drive
- Rear Bonded Rubber Bushing
- For the rear final drive mount
- Replacing, refer to REAR BONDED RUBBER BUSHING FOR REAR FINAL DRIVE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Front Bonded Rubber Bushing
- For the rear final drive mount
- Replacing, refer to FRONT BONDED RUBBER BUSHING FOR REAR FINAL DRIVE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Rear Hydraulic Bonded Rubber Bushing
- For the subframe mounting
- There are different versions installed, depending on the model.
- Oil on the bearing is a sign of wear
- Replacing, refer to SUBFRAME BONDED RUBBER BUSHING AND HYDRAULIC BONDED RUBBER BUSHING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Always replace on both sides.
- Subframe
- Subframe with attachments, removing and installing, refer to SUBFRAME WITH ATTACHMENTS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Bolt
- 115 Nm +90°
- Always replace if removed
- The bolts must not be loosened or tightened when the springs are installed. Release the coil springs using the spring tensioner before loosening or tightening.

- 70 Nm +180°
- Always replace if removed
- Must be tightened in the curb weight position, refer to WHEEL BEARING IN CURB WEIGHT, LIFTING VEHICLES WITH COIL SPRING .

- A mixed installation is not permitted

- Different versions, allocate correct version.
- Two different versions were installed during production, a conventional bonded rubber bushing and a hydraulic bonded rubber bushing, refer to BONDED RUBBER BUSHING .
- Oil on the hydraulic bonded rubber bushing is a sign of wear.
- Replacing, refer to SUBFRAME BONDED RUBBER BUSHING AND HYDRAULIC BONDED RUBBER BUSHING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Always replace on both sides.

- Left Stone Chip Protection
- Not installed on all vehicles.
- Rear Final Drive
- Removing and installing, refer to FINAL DRIVE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Installed on vehicles with all wheel drive
- Differential Crossmember
- Removing and installing, refer to FINAL DRIVE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Installed on vehicles with all wheel drive
- Not installed on vehicles with the Sport differential

- Tightening specification:
- 55 Nm
- Depending on the date of manufacture for the balance weight fastener. Refer to OVERVIEW - FINAL DRIVE 0BC, 0BD - Balance Weight on the Rear Final Drive .
