Reducing Agent Injector -N474-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH ENGINE CODES CTBA AND CTBC: Removing
When working on the whole exhaust system:
- Follow the safety precautions when working on the exhaust system, refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
The reducing agent can cause skin irritation.
- Always observe the safety precautions when working with reducing agent, refer to SCR SYSTEM SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
- Wear protective eyewear.
Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions, refer to CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .
-- Remove the engine cover, refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the tower brace, refer to TOWER BRACE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the connector -arrow- from the bracket, disconnect, and free up.
To catch escaping reducing agent place a clean cloth under the separation point.
-- Disconnect the metering line -1- from the Reducing Agent Injector -N474- by pressing the release buttons -arrows-.
-- Fold back the heat shields at the coolant hoses.
-- Clamp off the coolant hoses -2- with Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm 3094 and remove.
-- Loosen the clamp -1- and remove the Reducing Agent Injector -N474-.
