Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 1 -G235-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Tightening specifications:

Refer to OVERVIEW - EXHAUST TEMPERATURE REGULATION .
Refer to OVERVIEW - TURBOCHARGER .
Refer to OVERVIEW - CHARGE AIR SYSTEM .

NOTE:

Replace the O-rings.

Protect the exhaust gas temperature sensor against knocks and impacts. A dropped exhaust gas temperature sensor may not be used again.

Coat the thread with hot bolt paste .
