Front Exhaust Pipe, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With Engine Codes CDUD, CTBA And CTBC: Removing

-- Remove the engine cover, refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- From above remove the nuts that are accessible -2- to remove the exhaust Pipe.
NOTE:
The nut -1- and bolt -3- will be removed later.
-- Remove the rear noise insulation -2-, refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .
CAUTION:
Danger of causing damage to the decoupling element inside the front exhaust pipe.
- Do not bend decoupling element in front exhaust pipe more than 10°.
Vehicles with engine code CDUD:
-- Loosen the clamping sleeve threaded connections -arrows-.
-- Slide the clamping sleeve toward the rear and slightly lower the exhaust pipe.
-- Remove the nuts -1- and bolt -3- and then remove the front exhaust pipe.
Vehicles with engine codes CTBA and CTBC:
-- Remove bolts -1- and nuts -2-, lower the exhaust manifold slightly.
