Catalytic Converter, Removing And Installing, Non-Hybrid Vehicles: Removing

NOTE:

When installing, bring all cable ties back to same positions.

-- Remove the engine cover, refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Connector Bracket, Version 1

-- Disconnect the connector -1- from the Oxygen Sensor After Three Way Catalytic Converter -G130- and Heater For Oxygen Sensor 1 After Catalytic Converter -Z29- and free up the wires.

-- Disconnect the connector -2- from the Heated Oxygen Sensor -G39- and Oxygen Sensor Heater -Z19- and free up the wires.

-- Disconnect the connector -arrow- from the Heated Oxygen Sensor -G39- and free up the wires.

-- Disconnect the connector -arrow- on the Oxygen Sensor after Three Way Catalytic Converter -G130- and free up the wires.

-- Remove the air filter housing, refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the noise insulation, refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

Vehicles with Parking Heater

-- Clamp the parking heater coolant hoses up with Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm 3094 and disconnect them.

-- Remove the nut -1- for the coolant lines from the body.

-- Clamp the parking heater coolant hoses down with Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm 3094 and disconnect them.

-- Disconnect and remove the coolant lines -1- from the body.

-- Remove the front muffler, refer to FRONT MUFFLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, NON-HYBRID VEHICLES .

-- Disconnect the threaded connection -1-, remove the bolt -2- and remove the catalytic converter mounting.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the heat shield from the right drive axle.

-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and remove the catalytic converter upward.
