Fuel Pump Control Module -J538-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

-- Follow the rules for clean working conditions, refer to CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

-- Move the passenger seat all the way forward if necessary.

CAUTION:

Risk of damaging electronic components when disconnecting the battery.

Observe the steps for disconnecting the battery.

-- Disconnecting the battery -arrow-, refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove 1/3 of the rear seat, refer to REAR SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the sealing flange cover -1-.

-- Lift the insulation mat and remove the screws -1-.

-- Lift the floor panel slightly by hand and pull the Fuel Pump Control Module -J538- -3- toward the inside between the fuel tank and the floor panel.

-- Disconnect the connector -2- and remove the fuel pump control module.
