Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor -G62-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

NOTE:

Replace the O-rings.

To prevent coolant loss, immediately insert the new Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor -G62- into the connecting piece.

The hose connections as well as the air guide pipes and hoses must be free of oil and grease before installing.

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps of the same type as those equipped by the factory .

In order to be able to securely mount the air guide hoses on their connectors, spray the screws on the previously used clamps with a rust remover.

-- Install the intake manifold support, refer to OVERVIEW - INTAKE MANIFOLD .

-- Install the Throttle Valve Control Module -J338-, refer to Throttle Valve Control Module -J338-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the air guide hose, refer to OVERVIEW - CHARGE AIR SYSTEM .

Hybrid Vehicles 

-- Install the Electrical A/C Compressor -V470-, refer to A/C COMPRESSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING ON BRACKET, ELECTRICALLY-DRIVEN A/C COMPRESSOR .

Energizing the high voltage system

CAUTION:

Hazardous high voltage

Severe bodily injury or death by electrocution

  • The high voltage system may only be restarted by a qualified person (Audi high voltage technician).
  • Use only the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in "Guided Fault Finding  " to ensure the system has been re-energized.
  • Qualified personnel (Audi high voltage technician) restart the vehicle.
  • The qualified personnel (Audi high voltage technicians) mark the vehicle with a label.
NOTE:

Energizing the high voltage system:

Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester

Select the Guided Fault Finding  mode

Using the Go To  button, move through the following menu points

Function/Component Selection 

Body 

Electrical Equipment 

OBD-Capable System 

8C - Hybrid Battery Management -J840 

8C - Hybrid Battery Management, Functions 

51 - Energizing the High Voltage System
