Left Engine Mount, Removing And Installing: Removing
When installing, bring all cable ties back to same positions.
-- Remove the engine cover, refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the front noise insulation -1-, refer to FRONT NOISE INSULATION .
-- Remove the ribbed belt from the Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor, refer to RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the left front wheel housing liner -1-, refer to WHEEL HOUSING LINER .
-- Position the Engine Support Bridge 10-222A on the left and right suspension strut towers as illustrated.
-- Attach the Engine Support Bridge - Spindle10-222A/11 to the left engine lifting eye.
-- Tension engine/transmission subframe with spindle.
The subframe could cause an accident if it is not secured.
- Do not loosen the subframe bolts -1 and 3-.
-- Remove the left subframe bolt -2-.
Risk of damaging refrigerant lines and hoses.
- Do not stretch, kink or bend refrigerant lines and hoses.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.
-- If installed: Remove the bracket -1-.
-- Attach the A/C Compressor in front.
-- Open the latches -arrow- and disconnect connector -1- at the A/C Compressor.
-- If installed, remove the bolts -arrow-, Press stop -1- for the torque support towards the engine.
-- Disconnect the electrical connector -3- on the Left Electrohydraulic Engine Mount Solenoid Valve -N144- and free up.
-- Remove the left engine mount bolts -1, 4 and 5-.
-- Lay aside the left engine mount retaining plate -2-.
-- Lift the engine using the left Engine Support Bridge - Spindle10-222A/11 -1- to dimension -a-.
- Dimension -a- = approximately 20 mm.
-- Remove the left engine mount.
