High Pressure Pump Overview

- Nut
- 70 Nm
- Counterhold adapter -2- using Counter Hold Tool T40248 to loosen
- Adapter
- For high pressure pump chain sprocket
- Different adapters may be installed depending on the date of manufacture
- Use Counter Hold Tool T40248 or Counter Holder Tool T40292 to loosen the nut -1-.
- Modify the new high pressure pump when replacing the (old) high pressure pump.
- O-ring
- Replace
- High Pressure PumpCAUTION:
Danger of malfunction caused by dirt.
- Refer to FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
Letting the high pressure pump run dry will damage it.
- The high pressure pump must be filled with fuel after installing, but before the engine is started for the first time. Refer to FUEL TANK, FILLING WITH FUEL AFTER INSTALLING HIGH PRESSURE PUMP
- Removing and installing, refer to HIGH PRESSURE PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Perform an adaptation after replacing the high pressure pump and / or the Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve -N276-. Use a Vehicle Diagnostic Tester to do this.
- High Pressure Line
- 25 Nm
- Do not change the shape of the line
- Check for damage before installing
- The high pressure line also needs to be replaced when replacing the high pressure pump.
- Installing, refer to HIGH PRESSURE LINES, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- Coat the thread on the union nut with clean engine oil.
- Fuel Supply Hose
- Fuel Return Hose
- O-ring
- Replace
- Fuel Temperature Sensor -G81-
- 2 Nm
- High Pressure Line
- 25 Nm
- Do not change the shape of the line
- Check for damage before installing
- The high pressure line also needs to be replaced when replacing the high pressure pump.
- Installing, refer to HIGH PRESSURE LINES, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- Coat the thread on the union nut with clean engine oil.

- 22 Nm
