Auxiliary Components Bracket, Removing And Installing, Non-Hybrid Vehicles With The Engine Code CDZA: Removing

WARNING:

Risk of scalding due to hot steam and hot coolant.

  • The coolant system is under pressure when the engine is warm.
  • Reduce pressure by covering coolant reservoir cap with a cloth and carefully opening.

-- Drain the coolant, refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING, NON-HYBRID VEHICLES .

CAUTION:

Risk of damage due to reversed running direction on a used ribbed belt.

  • Before removing ribbed belt, marking running direction with chalk or felt-tip pen for reinstallation later.

-- To release ribbed belt tension, rotate tensioner in -direction of arrow-.

-- Secure the tensioning system using Locking Pin T10060A.

-- Remove the ribbed belt.

-- Disconnect the connectors -2 and 3- from the Oil Pressure Switch - F22- and Reduced Oil Pressure Switch - F378-.

NOTE:

Ignore items -1 and 4-.

-- Loosen the hose clamps -arrows- and remove the air guide hose.

-- Disconnect and free up the connector from the Charge Air Pressure Sensor -G31- -item 1-.

-- Remove the bolts -1- and -2- and pivot the left coolant pipe upward.

NOTE:

Disregard the -arrows-.

-- Remove the generator, refer to GENERATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect solenoid clutch electrical connector -1- on A/C compressor.

WARNING:

Refrigerant can cause serious personal injury.

  • Do not open the A/C system refrigerant circuit.

-- Remove A/C compressor bolts -arrows-.

CAUTION:

Risk of damaging refrigerant lines and hoses.

  • Do not stretch, kink or bend refrigerant lines and hoses.

-- Tie up the compressor with the refrigerant lines attached to the longitudinal member.

-- Remove the oil filter, refer to 4-CYLINDER 2.0 TFSI GASOLINE ENGINE .

NOTE:

Place a cloth under the accessory assembly bracket to collect leaking engine oil.

-- Remove the bolts -1 through 5- and pull off the accessory assembly bracket from the coolant pump housing.
