Tire Pressure Monitoring Overview

Beru wheel electronics system, refer to WHEEL ELECTRONICS, TPMS, BERU SYSTEM .

Siemens wheel electronics system, refer to WHEEL ELECTRONICS, TPMS, SIEMENS SYSTEM .

Direct measuring systems according to model, refer to METAL VALVE BODY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Indirect measuring systems according to mode, refer to METAL VALVE BODY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

1. Metal Valve Body 
   • Only install valve
   • Delivered complete
   • Replace valve insert with every tire change
   • Removing and Installing, refer to METAL VALVE BODY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 
2. Valve Insert 
3. Seal 
   • Removing and Installing, refer to METAL VALVE BODY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 
     NOTE:

     Depending on the model, cannot be separated from the valve .

4. Rim 
   • All models: 4 Nm
   • Removing and installing tires, refer to Figure
5. Wheel Electronics 
   • Batteries must be completely replaced
   • Remaining battery life, temperature and pressure can be read via diagnosis with the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester
   • Installing the wheel electronics, Beru System, refer to WHEEL ELECTRONICS, TPMS, BERU SYSTEM 
   • Installing the wheel electronics, Siemens System, refer to WHEEL ELECTRONICS, TPMS, SIEMENS SYSTEM 
     NOTE:

     The lettering on the wheel electronics shows which system is installed.

     WARNING:

     If tire sealant was used, then the wheel electronics on that particular wheel must be replaced.

     WARNING:

     Damaged wheel electronics must be replaced.

6. Microencapsulated Screw 

   All Models: 4 Nm

   • Replace bolt
   • Can only be obtained as a replacement part with wheel electronics
     NOTE:

     Used only with the Beru System.

7. Union Nut 
   • Tightening specification, refer to METAL VALVE BODY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 
   • Removing and Installing, refer to METAL VALVE BODY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 
8. Beveled Washer
