Access/Start Authorization Switch -E415-, Removing And Installing: Notes

Special Tools And Workshop Equipment Required 

NOTE:

Induction coil for immobilizer is secured to Access/Start Authorization Switch -E415- and cannot be replaced separately.

If induction coil is malfunctioning, Access/Start Authorization Switch -E415- must be replaced.

The immobilizer does not need to be adapted if the access/start authorization switch is replaced.

Lock in access/start authorization switch is not coded mechanically.

Keys must therefore not be replaced when access/start authorization switch is replaced; present keys continue to match.

WARNING:

Danger Of Unintended Engine Ignition

Turn off the ignition and remove the ignition key from the vehicle interior for all work performed on the high voltage vehicle.
