Tie Rod End, Removing And Installing: Notes

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 13 other vehicles, including the 2017 Audi SQ5, 2017 Audi Q5, 2016 Audi SQ5, 2016 Audi Q5, and 2015 Audi SQ5. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Different tie rod ends were installed during production; the difference is the joint pin thread length, refer to parts.

When replacing the tie rod end, make sure the length of the thread on the tie rod end is sufficient (there must be approximately 5 mm extra thread). If this is not the case, then install a new tie rod end with a longer thread pin, for allocation, refer to parts.
