Vacuum Pump, Removing And Installing, 3.0L TDI Engine: Installing

NOTE:
Replace the seals.
Make sure the seals are correctly installed.
-- Position the vacuum pump tappet so it engages in the groove on the camshaft when vacuum pump is installed.
-- Install vacuum pump.
-- Install and tighten all the bolts -arrows- on the vacuum pump sealing flange to 9 Nm.
-- Slide the new clamp over the vacuum hose.
-- Press the vacuum hose onto the vacuum pump connection.
CAUTION:
Do not damage the vacuum hose. Replace the vacuum hose if damaged.
-- Close the new clamp on the vacuum hose with pliers.
-- Install the right diagonal tower brace.
-- Install the engine cover.
